7:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Cyber risks can come from any direction, externally or internally, and today’s business leaders must understand their sources and how to address them. It is crucial to comprehend these risks and their potential impact to ensure the resilience of a business against ever-increasing cyber threats. While prevention may not always be possible, preparing for, responding to and recovering from a threat should be the preferred approach. Attendees of this session can earn up to four CPE credits in the field of Information Technology.

Agenda:

7:30 – 8:30 a.m. — Registration, networking and hot breakfast buffet

8:30 – 8:40 a.m. — RKL Welcome by Michael McAllister, RKL

8:40 – 9:30 a.m.Cyber Resiliency, presented by James Ruffin, RKL

What is cyber resiliency? It is the ability of a business to prepare for, respond to and recover from cyber threats. Why is it important? Because no system is foolproof, preventing an attack may no longer be a reasonable cyber strategy.

Attendees of this session will be able to:

  • Define cyber resiliency and why it differs from cybersecurity
  • Identify governance structures and risk management frameworks that enable cyber resiliency
  • Learn how to align capabilities around the business for the management of cyber risk

9:30 - 10:20 a.m. The Pros and Cons of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Their Potential Impact on Business, presented by Michael McAllister, RKL

In the modern world, there is a constant bombardment of information on AI, which creates challenges as individuals and companies determine the best course of action. It's essential to understand the advantages and disadvantages of AI and the potential risks of implementing this new technology to make an informed decision.

Attendees of this session will be able to:

  • Describe the different types of AI
  • Evaluate the risk that comes with the use of AI
  • Implement best practices to manage AI

10:20 - 10:35 a.m.  Break

10:35 - 11:25 a.m. Cybersecurity Viewpoint From the Inside presented by Tammy Klotz, Trinseo LLC

Cybersecurity has become an essential aspect of operational environments, and ensuring that businesses are secure from the inside is crucial. As technology advances, the threats that organizations face are also evolving. Inside threats, whether accidental or intentional, can be as significant as external threats. Therefore, it is imperative to understand the significance of internal cybersecurity, including the latest trends, potential risks and effective strategies to mitigate these threats.

Attendees of this session will be able to:

  • Explain cyber risk as a business risk and not just an IT risk
  • Describe cyber risk in terms of business impact
  • Determine the key elements of a cybersecurity program
  • Evaluate the potential business impact of a cyber event, assess the likelihood and probability of an attack and align your cyber posture with your company's overall risk appetite

11:25 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Cyber Incidents and Risk Panel Discussion, presented by Devin Chwastyk, McNees Wallace and Nurick, Brian Mahon, EHD Insurance and Joey Noll, RKL eSolutions
